Is Your Nutrition Affecting Your Sex Life?

Do you feel a little uncomfortable in your body?
Are you feeling bloated, sluggish and just generally ‘blah’?

So when it comes to ‘sexy time’ you want to hide under the sheets and stay covered up. The last thing you want is someone getting close to you…or see you…let alone touch you.

Because, hello…you’ve just watched Magic Mike for a hundredth time and dang, this girl need some sugar.

Not saying that chocolate is better than sex, but right about now that’s exactly how you feel.

You’re not alone!

Did you know that many women feel less likely to want to be intimate with their sexual partners when they don’t feel good about themselves both inside and out?

So what can you do about it?

The good news is that most of these uncomfortable symptoms and the general ‘blah’ feeling can be reduced or eliminated completely just by changing your diet.

1.Piff the packaged foods.

Processed food contains excess amounts of sugar and sodium which can cause bloating, inflammation and excess water retention. If you’re wanting to feel slimmer and leaner, start by significantly reducing these kinds of foods from your diet.

2. Cut the cocktails.

Although delicious, cocktails, spirits and wines (and alcohol in general) contains sugar and empty calories. The body views alcohol as a toxin and works hard to excrete it from the body as soon as it enters. In the meantime, you’re dealing with inflammation, bloating and an imbalanced gut. Reducing your alcohol intake will help get your gut working properly and a cleaner and leaner body.

3. Get green.

Incorporating more leafy greens in your diet will make your body more alkaline. This refers to the Ph level of the acid in your body. If your body becomes too acidic, it creates inflammation in your body and joints, also causing a whole host of symptoms including fatigue, lethargy, digestive issues, problem skin and weight gain. (GREAT!)

So when you notice yourself reaching for that chocolate, reach for that green smoothie instead. Not only will you feel healthier, you’ll have more energy to do all those other things in life that are way better than chocolate!

Much love,
